Minus the routes using GO Transit, all the routes should be valid on weekends. Transit systems reduce the amount of buses, they do not stop routes altogether, unless it is an express route. None of which I have posted use express buses.
It makes everything simpler when you simply go backwards on whichever route you decide to use.

and again, if you use the two websites i listed earlier you can just flip the addresses of the places around and get your return trip planned.

If you're only using Public Transit in the area for TFCon, avoid Presto, it's easier to just go to the nice people and get a one way ticket.
The ones in Ottawa are a slightly different technology and they're having trouble with the roll-out, so I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't completely compatible.

Re: Public Transportation to TFcon
What's the best way to get to the hotel from Willow Bank and Shelby Crescent? I live pretty close to Square 1, but that would require that I transfer three buses.

Re: Public Transportation to the Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre
I think I have my route figured out, but I had a question for anyone familiar with public transit in the GTA.
How accommodating are the buses/trains for a person with a single medium-to-large suitcase. I don't mind standing or anything if there's no seats, but is it often so packed that they'd turn away someone with a suitcase? Would I really be out of place and imposing? Would a suitcase be safe? Should I have locks on it?
I'm sorry if any of those questions come off as really ignorant, but I've never been to a city as large as Toronto before.

Re: Public Transportation to the Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre
If the bus is completely full they won't even allow strollers on the bus. But the bus has to be FULL.
Otherwise the bus that stops at the airport has shelves for suitcases.

Re: Public Transportation to the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale Hotel
Question: the directions that are posted on the main site for people coming from the airport - they both require two transfers. However, when I entered in "From Pearson Airport Terminal 1 to Four Points by Sheraton Mississauga Meadowvale" on Google Maps and selected "Transit", and entered the time frame I'd most likely be taking the bus (Thursday night), Google Maps gave me the directions of taking "Bus 115 to Derry Road, West of Torbram Road" then after waiting for what appears to be 25 minutes, transferring to "Bus 42", which takes me right to Four Points. Does this seem correct, or no?

Re: Public Transportation to the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale Hotel
The route is correct, but it again is two different transit operators.
Bus 115 is Brampton Transit, and Bus 42 is MiWay (Mississauga Transit).

Totally agree... I already mentioned it during TFCon 2014... they should hold this in a more "central" location, as in Central to downtown Toronto or the Airport...
This location is wayyyyyyy out in the boonies.. Visitors from out-of-town won't even get to see Toronto as this hotel is basically out in nowhere/suburbs.
Regardless.. good luck to everyone taking public transit.
