Re: What system will you buy WFC for?

I'm playing it for PS3 and have encountered a very slight freeze... at times "usually auto save points" or times of intense speed/on screen movement the game would hesitate or freeze for a split second (sort of like a streaming video can lag for a second then catch up).

But it has not frozen completely resulting in having to reset the system etc... and it has gave me the split second freeze I think twice, maybe three times more toward the beginning of the game.

I'm not big on video games (not very good at them either) but I got both the Autobot and Decepticon Nintendo DS versions at Walmart yesturday.

I installed the game on my 360 and so far the freezing has stopped. It has been happening during multiplayer mainly.

Good, I'm not the only one on PC.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum...minimum specs, and I must say it runs well on my PC too. Get this, AMD 4200 dual core, 2gb ram, X1950 AGP (yes, AGP) and it actually runs well.

There is the occaisonal pause to load, but I think that can be attributed to my low ram and AGP.

I'm really enjoying the campaign, haven't tried online yet....

So far the game looks great at 'better than HD' resolutions, and runs butter smooth. No matter how much action is going on, there is no slowdown. Sounds great and plays in surround sound.

One annoyance: there is no way to remap the controls. I'm sure this will be addressed in a patch as the functionality looks like it's there, but it just doesn't do anything. This didn't affect me as I use a programmable keypad and mouse, so I just set up a new profile, but it would have been nice to do it the other way around. There are other ways around it, but not being able to remap keys on a PC game is a joke.

The PC port looks good. It's butter smooth, the game controls great with the keyboard and mouse (flying gets a bit crazy!), and the game looks fantastic at 1920x1200 on high detail. Very sharp! Load times are so fast you almost don't notice it's happening.

I can recommend the PC version if you have the horsepower. It runs perfectly on my machine, but I do have a pretty burly system.

*Edit: Just read that the framerate is locked at 30fps. This seems to be a problem for some people, but it doesn't seem to bother me. YMMV

Re: What system will you buy WFC for?

Nice, I guess thats why it runs well on my quad core 8gm ram machine with a 1GB 250 GTS

Has the 30FPS cap been a problem for you? Some have been saying that it's unplayable, but I think those people are whining for the sake of whining

PM me your online ID when you get around to multiplayer
