well the new packaging for the new movie line stay the same for 2011
No. We have already seen examples that it will be changing soon for the "Hunt for the Decepticons" line, and as the 2011 movie will have a different title, it seems overwhelmingly likely the packaging will change again to tie into this.

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

Is it possible to release the toys like DVDs or video games with specific release dates. I know this is done when new toy lines are launched especally for toys based on movies. Why not do it for the different assortments too this would save alot of gas from us collectors running to store to store looking for "x" figure.

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

Does the release of 3rd party products have any effect on the decision making process at Hasbro? Or is it something not taken into account? For example, if a 3rd party group decided to make a toy strongly resembling character "X", would you then factor that into whether or not to make that character yourself? Or would you still make whatever characters you feel appropriate without regard to what's on the market from 3rd party groups. Thanks.

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

Why is ROTF Leader Megatron so simple to transform compared to Leader Optimus Prime? Shouldn't they have the same level of engineering given they're selling for the same price? Or is Megatron more simple to allow Prime to be more complex?

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

What eras of Transformers can we expect to see represented in the upcoming Generations line? Obviously Generation One, War for Cybertron, and movie will be a major portion. But will be see some characters from other series like Beast Wars, Armada, or the Japanese series's?

maybe taking a bit further for the sake of Hasbro marketing, it should consider to introduce black/dark repaint for Arcee, Rachet, and Rodimus in Targets/Zellers/Walmart exclusive. In this way, they could make more money and Canada should be available to access to those figures.
It is under the assumption that Animated Arcee and cybertron ratchet are sold so well, and are not available to fulfill Canadian fans.
