Hasbro creating KO's!?...

Well sorta, I was wondering why there were no indications of Audi/Logo on Sideways or on the toy packaging. After taking a closer inspection, I noticed that the toy although appears as an Audi R8, is not. Take a look for yourself with the side by side images below, you'll notice various small differences, such as the grills and the carbon fibre stripe on the side and different designed rims. I guess these changes are how Hasbro can get away with making such a nefarious mold?

Now I wonder, has anyone tried modding this into a real Audi R8?

Hasbro wanted to use the Audi but VW said no so they made it different enough to use it

Didn't they have this same issue with bumblebee? Something about VW not wanting to be associated with "weapons" or something like that?

Was this the deal with GM? I thought they were given exlclusive rights to all cars in the movies?
