FansProject Function X-3 Smart Robin and faction symbols

I will be purchasing Smart Robin as my very first 3rd party figure very shortly.

Something I've never needed to do before has come up and that is add Autobot symbols myself.

I've noticed those red shapes on the wings and an outline on the canopy that seem to be the intended placements for faction symbols.

Looking at Reprolabels they have many different backgrounds for their faction symbols. In the couple of reviews I've seen where faction symbols have been added it seems the white background was used. But particularly on the wings I don't think this looks so good.

I'm looking for feedback on what background various board members went with and if at all possible to be pointed at some pics that show what various backgrounds look like on both the wings and the canopy.

I am thinking I'd like clear background but before i purchase I wanted to see if I can find out for sure which type looks best to my own eye.
