Re: Classics/Universe Dead End (WIP)
Thanks! All the paints so far are Tamiya acrylics, which I add a little bit of thinner to, applied with freehand brush. Except the gold on the face; that's a Games Workshop paint. "Dwarven Bronze," I think. I tried using their "Elven Mythril" for the racing stipes, but I found that the Tamiya metallics are easier to work with and look better when they dry.
I used some trim tape to mask off the racing stripes to get that nice, straight edge. The edges on the stripes on the hood are a little rough on account of letting the paint dry before pulling up the tape, but I learned from that little mess up and didn't repeat the mistake on the roof.

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End (WIP)
Yeah, I dig the Tamiya paints, expecially when I use them with Tamiya spray primers. The paints can be a little thick at times, but a little thinner takes care of that... and makes the jar last twice as long!
The trim tape I use is Pactra brand. It comes in a little cylindrical package with a series of widths on a paper roll. I buy it in a local hobby store, so I can't really say where to order it from, but I use this stuff: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCY79&P=M
Anyway, here's a quick shot of the back end of the car, still a little more work to be done here...
And here's a clearer look at the detailing on the hip assembly, as well as a quick look at what I'm doing with the feet.

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End (WIP)
I did the tail lights with a gloss red, so it does look a little shinier in person, but it doesn't really show up in the pic here. Bad lighting. :P
And yeah, the trim tapes are a bit pricey online. I found them locally for about $6 a pack.
