Actually, this could be a really neat feature. Better than my idea of selecting the one thing you want in your sig.
By checking a checkbox to a have or a want or a sale, you could add or remove it will into the display rotation. Gives more user control and personalization to the sig.
No idea what kind of work that would involve behind the scenes, though. Often the "simple" things require so many headaches and long hours.

Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff
Performing some discussion necromancy.
Has anyone seen anything new from these guys?
Some time ago I volunteered to curate a Beast Wars 2 catalog and got no response. When I followed up on it I got an email saying that they'd get on it, and that was months ago. Nothing has happened.
I was going to volunteer to take over the Centurions catalog since it's incomplete, but if I'm not going to get any response from them I might not bother.

I really don't know why the ShelfLife guys aren't all over this volunteer work from the awesome people in the Transformers community. No intended disrepsect but if they want to let it die then they should just let it die already.

Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff
Some time ago I actually took over as Curator of the Combiner Wars series. It was going alright at the time but then I noticed that the Combiner Wars series wasnt available in the drop down menus to be looked over. The only way you could access the figures is if you did a search for them.
I sent them a request to have it added to the drop down menu for easier access. They told me the Collection has not yet been "published" because there was some missing information on a couple figures. Long story short, before they would do anything I needed to conform to very specific guidelines on how they wanted figures catalogued. Too much effort and not enough leeway.

Actally, if you click the "Hasbro" link in the drop down menu, it open a new page with all the TF categories listed down the side. Scroll down and look for "Generations: Combiner Wars".

Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff
Something I read in an article linked on their site stuck out to me:
Basically, that tells me they won't be putting any further development into their site unless they hit some membership threshold, and they are relying on Dragon's Den reruns to get there. The future doesn't look promising for this website, unfortunately.

Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff
This is disappointing, because for a while I was using ShelfLife as a way to document my collection. And my one attempt to buy something on the site went nowhere because there was no way to contact other members privately.

I do like the banner though. I like showing off my newest acquisitions.
