need help with squawktalk's transformation

i want to make the feet either do this (would require parts-forming, build a peg and hole inside the wings)

or this with some sort of joint to make it flip out

this is the space and detail shots of it:

any help would be greatly appreciated, when i cut the wings i did so with an exacto blade so there wasn't a bunch of plastic loss making a gap,

everything fits back together perfectly, i do not like the way the wings look without the tips on them, and it leaves too big of holes in the alt mode, so i want them to go back to where they came from for alt mode and bird mode,

i would want the hinge embedded into the major portion of the leg like so if i did it that way, the top of the hinge would stick through the alt mode, but i don't think it would look too bad when painted

I for one can't stand parts forming but if you can't think of a way to hinge it, it may be your best option...

Could always try a 3 point pivot joint like so (see attachment), would have to be thin though to avoid the "feathers"

"feathers" can be removed, i don't use them for anything, bird mode i like better w/o them, where would i get aformentioned 3 point pivot parts?

Good question...when in doubt scratch build :P

If you go that route you can you thin plastic and make them act like those expandable rulers that connection from one end to the other.

Otherwise I'd have to think about it a little unless someone can come up with an idea be me :P

Ah man, check out CDN Tire, they clearance stuff for ridiculous prices, I got my dremel for $15 and a set of accessories for $10 (normally $50)
