Re: Soundscream? A Siege packaging error.
This is one of those one-off factory errors that, ironically, is worth less as a collector’s item because it is a one-off. This isn’t a running change like a half-circle Boba Fett back in the day, which was rare but in enough numbers to be collectible. It’s just a mistake. And a rather pedestrian one at that.

I think the issue is that your OP wasn't very clear. You just stated "factory sealed box" which could mean the box the figure came in. Hence all the talk about resealing tape etc, etc.
If you had initially stated that it was the brown shipping box that the store received and opened in front of you then that would have avoided some of the confusion.

Re: Soundscream? A Siege packaging error.
I don't think it's difficult to remove a figure from the plastic clamshell without cutting those plastic ties. You could say pop the limbs off and then slide the individual part of the figure out from under the ties piece by piece. Just saying.

Re: Soundscream? A Siege packaging error.
They use different clamshells....... why would you attempt to swap them, they wouldn't fit anyway.

Re: Soundscream? A Siege packaging error.
The clamshells are all the same size and shape though. The indentations where the figure itself fits would be different, but the shape of the clamshell as a whole should be the same if the two figures are of the same size class.

Re: Soundscream? A Siege packaging error.
Clamshells are for the most part figure specific i believe ....the reason why there is a number usally molded into the plastic to identify the toy that fits it....

You are probably totally right. My mistake and my apologies. It is nice hearing that others have seen this kinda stuff before though.
