Bumblebee leader

The only Bumblebee I like, is Prime Bee. Not much of a Bee fan, even less when Hasbro makes Bumblebee leader in every continuity, RID2015, AOE (Briefly), IDW. What does Hasbro see in him that we don't? I am at issue 23 of IDW and Bee has failed in his plans, AOE Bee lacked experience and was a kid in Drift's eyes. Out of all Autobots? why him? I mean, they could have made Prowl leader or Ultra Magnus or any other Autobot for that matter.

Maybe they are trying to show how the war and its aftermath has taken its toll on even the most innocent and optimistic of Autobots, who struggles to let go of his wartime prejudices. Dunno.

Not a big bee fan either. But its an interesting thought: without defaulting to any of the other likely leaders/2nd in command, which rank and file Autobot could've brought a more engaging storyline to ruling post war Cybertron? What would happen if instead of Bee, we had:
- Beachcomber?
- Blurr?
- Cliffjumper?
- Cosmos?
- Dinobots?
- Trailbreaker?
- Hoist?
- Powerglide?
- Wheelie?

Animated Bumblebee was pretty awesome too. actually Animated is awesome overall.
