Dear Ticketmaster:
Fuck you!
EVERY time I go on that site to look for tickets it blocks me. It is not like I am on there frequently. We are talking 3 or 4 times a year. So far, this blockade has cost my wife Bon Jovi tickets, myself hockey tickets.
I know it is a volume thing (as it is as soon as tickets go on sale... bam! I'm out). It is funny as I can log on to ticketmaster.com with no problems (but I cannot purchase tickets), but the .ca just gives me the middle finger.
It is just frustrating that they don't try and improve their system for this. How the hell do the scalpers get through so easily?
Thanks for listening.

Re: Dear Ticketmaster:
Jourdo, I feel your pain. Let me guess, you were trying to get tickets to go see the Backyardigans and they sold out in 12.5 seconds
TJ, solid post, I like that. Wonder how I can sneak that into some work emails....

Unfortunately not.. they'll do what they do here in Toronto; hire homeless people to stand in line and buy tickets for them.

Thats crazy . Anyway thats how I've always bought tickets, the online thing has never worked for me. Its basicly set up so that people can't get tickets. On the Bon Jovi side I've only talked to people who got shut out, lots of them...............

I heard these were the hot ticket! Who knew? I'm holding out for the Wiggles to make their triumphant return to the big C.

Funny thing is we still have this problem with advanced sales (the recent Bon Jovi concert included).
As soon as we go onto that site, we get this lovely message telling us that they limit visits to the site to prevent automatic programs from purchasing tickets.
When I contacted their "customer service", they are trying to say it is Shaw's fault and not their site.
With the Bon Jovi... anyone know any locals going? My wife only really wanted to exchange the hoodie(or buy a new a new one), from the one she got from the concert during Stampede.

Re: Dear Ticketmaster:
You can always buy scalped tickets after the event has officially begun. That's when scalper's start to panick, because they know their ticket is going to be worthless soon. You can probably buy it at the regular cost or even cheaper, if you and your wife don't mind missing a few minutes of the concert, and possibly with bad or ok, but not great seats.
