I'm fine with Blast Off being whatever. Seems like a waste to spend retool money for a space shuttle, when that's probably going to be the only reiteration of a space shuttle being part of a combiner team, unless we go the route of a bajillion repaints of Bruticus.

Defensor is looking pretty good. I was wondering if Groove was ignored but looks like they have him as a Legends figure attaching to his chest. Looking forward to this but more excited for Computron

This. I'm hoping that Computron is decent. If it's not to my tastes, My Classics Computron will be Quantron....which is expensive.

Also, I can deal with the Rook character for a limb, Rook is new to me, and I'd prefer the classic 5 character line-up, but I like the presentation they have here of Defensor. Rook can stay.

It also makes me wonder if they will special edition Groove as the 5th limb like they are for Wildrider and the other arial-bot...ah...uh....Slingshot.

they probably chose to go this way as a motorcycle is not an easy re-mold from what they have.

The reason Groove is a legends figure and not a deluxe, and this comes from Hasbro (scroll down to the third question) not my mere speculation, is that 1. Like us, they felt that a giant motorcycle was stupid, and 2. They are going for relative scale!!

Starting with designing the Constructicons, that's why they are all voyagers. Because construction equipment is so huge. Long Haul is designed as one of those giant deep mining dump trucks, and everyone else, from the rest of the Constructicons to the Stunticons, and the Protectabots, are all based around relative scale.
The obvious exception being the Aerialbots since, being jets, they should all be huge too. Realistically they should be a set of 4 voyagers and a leader class!

I bought alpha bravo for repaint, and he is fantastic figure. Really waiting for bruticus and computron though, hoping each member will be good, and God lord, pls let blast off be a shuttle, new style is fine

Anyone know if we will be able to get the "special real team members" like slingshot without having to buy the complete takara set to get them?
I really hope so or that will REALLY suck.
