I think it's C personally.

Omg! That's totes craycray.

I paid a little over half that for streak. Tru Canada is really trying to put the scalpers out of business by becoming scalpers themselves. I'll wait for the eventual 30 -40% off sale they have to dig themselves out from under that huge pile of unsold yotg and mp exclusives.

Well, maybe if they see the "overstock" of Streak, and having to sell him at clearance... That, and in consideration of selling Prowl, and YoTH Prime at clearance, maybe they'll decide to not overprice Starscream... Yea, wishful thinking...

At this rate if Hasbro ever gets around to releasing MP Ultra Magnus through North American TRUs he'll be $500.

so glad I made the switch to Takara right after MP Soundwave as this is just ridiculous. If you pre-order the TT ones you get a much better price even the new exclusive MP "Blue" Streak is going for less to as much as this depending on where you get it from. TRU bad show indeed

Re: Toysrus.ca Has MP Bluesteak for Order

I balked a little at the $89.99 price point too, but ultimately I think I can live with it. I haven't imported any MPs up to now, so I don't have any reference point for how this compares to what it cost to import the Takara version last year. I'm sure I missed out on a lot of decent deals. This year is the first time I'll be preordering a Takara MP release -- MP Tracks from Automaton! -- and the price after conversion is about $90 Canadian (not including shipping). Assuming this is a more or less standard price for an Autobot car MP when you factor in the deteriorating exchange rate, then $90 for Bluestreak from Hasbro doesn't look that out of whack.

Well... I did use the Cineplex code so it was actually $80 + tax. Which was about $90 anyway.

Re: Toysrus.ca Has MP Bluesteak for Order

Well, it's cliche to complain, but I'm Canadian:

First, the price. Yikes. I will not be buying this, and am glad I went the Takara route. There is absolutely no reason this should be priced so high, only to be slashed later with rebates.

Second, the box. Still going with that oversized monstrosity. I guess this is so they can ship it in bot mode, but...just a waste of packaging.

Third, overseas purchasing. I suggest that anybody who hasn't ordered these guys from Asia go that route. As long as you don't get a KO (and the sellers are quite up front with this) then you get a better product in almost every regard.

I'll be picking up a Hasbro SS though, just to compare against my MP-11. The price drop is very competitive, and who knows, maybe they've made some improvements. I don't even use the cape and crown, so I'd totally go Hasbro if they didn't change the style too much. If he's up to MP-11SW quality (which had a slightly better latching waist/torso, IMO) then it'll be a no brainer. I doubt I'll get back my investment on the secondary market for MP-11 but oh well.

For those who haven't tried ordering from Asia, it's great. I never get dinged import fees, I always get the product in under two weeks, and even though our dollar is lower than in the past you still get a great deal.

I've pre-ordered the first time from AE and we'll see how Tracks goes. I have no reason to believe it'll be worse than the ebay route. I only wish I had gotten in on the Takara Unite Warrior pre-orders in time. The prices are just awesome.
