Blockbuster is a rip off

Hi everyone

I went to Blockbuster this morning to sell my RHINO first season G1 Transformers DVD boxset as I have the SHOUT one and think it is better.
Anyways I figured maybe $10-$12 for it.....the guy offered me $3.....he also offered me $3 for my second and third season Beast Wars DVD's each as well...I said no thanks and left....What a rip!

Why wouldn't you just go to a Pawn shop or Used DVD store? Blockbuster is dying, I mean who here even rents a physical copy of a movie anymore? I sure as hell don't either I buy it or I don't buy it, end of story.

God 3$ a pop, those things retailed at like 50-60$ a piece back when they first came out if I'm not mistaken.

Actually I rent quite a bit as I cannot be bothered to buy movies when I will watch them once and then they gather dust..waste of cash..unless of course they are a blockbuster..Star Wars,etc.

They are normally pretty good but this morning I was appalled.

I still rent movies from time to time. Shaw's On Demand video service is more expensive and their high def offerings are pathetic at best. I also don't want to waste money buying a movie I know I will not watch more than once.

As for pawn shops, don't expect much better. I once brought a bunch of DVD's in to see what I could get and was basically offered $1 to $2 per DVD (they sell them for $10 to $15). I didn't need the money that bad, so I held on to them.

If you honestly want to get a fair price on these, sell them here or on eBay where someone who actually values them will pay you for them.

I am just waiting to hear back from a member and when I do I will inform if they have been sold.

Thanks for everyone's interest...although I have to be honest this was not the intent of my intial post...was just furious and frustrated.
