Amazon Prime and International Shipping

Hello,

I was wondering if having Amazon Prime has much or any impact on shipping and import fees for stuff coming from the US?

I've narrowed down my 3D Printer choices to one from the states through Amazon.com but there's 200 in shipping and 100 in import charges which kind of defeats the value for me.

Isn't Amazon Prime only $100 for the year, regardless of what you order?

Amazon Prime is $75 for a year, plus 30 day trial and it gives you faster shipping and in many cases free shipping.

What I want to know is what effect does it have on international shipping.

$75 is for Amazon.ca, but for Amazon.com (since the stuff is coming from the US), I think it's $100. At least that's what the last promo said I think?
