In the last few years, there's been a script circulating the various studios. They all declined because Microsoft was asking too much for it. Something like the first born of everyone involved in the project for 15 generations, but I may be off by 1 or 2 generations :-p

So far the closest thing to a Halo movie has been this. It's more or less what the halo movie could look like, taking place immediately before the events in Halo 3.

Seriously, they built full scale weapons and a fully functional, four-wheel drive Warthog with four-wheel streering and rotating turret. I would love to see them put to better use.

Actually, watching Landfall and Arms Race, If tehy were carefull and did not try and go overboard with the Halo rings concept and focused more on the military angle, it could work very well.

Still, until they, or even if they make the movie, we can't be sure.
