Transformers Car Robots Coming Soon from Karyuudo Fansubs

Hi everyone,

I'd like to make a formal announcement that Transformers Car Robots - The Complete Series will be released in the near future through my group Karyuudo Fansubs.

As of right now, I can confirm the following will be included in our release:

- All 39 Episodes with the Original Japanese Audio with English subtitles.

That wins it for me. English dub of any media will lose out to the original source.

Dubs are always better. So this is a HUGE waste of time. That could have been much more usefully spent.

Thanks Dangard Ace for your support! I'm sure a lot of fans will realize that Car Robots is like night and day compared to RiD.

I respect your opinion on this, however, please give a try when we finally release it as you'll notice quite a number of differences.

Car Robots was a completely different script and show compared to it's Fox Kids Dubbed Robots In Disguise.

I can't honestly believe you think the dub of Car Robots is better then the original Japanese one.

Take the ending scene of Episode 2 in which Fire Convoy becomes Super Fire Convoy for the first time and using his Blizzard Storm. In Japanese it was much more hot blooded, and the music helped too..... the Saban dub was well................. yeah

Also in the official G1 TF continuity, Car Robots is the true script and story.

ANYHOW!

This is great news. Considering 3 different groups have tried to do this and never got far:

- Centaur VHS, a Hong Kong based company did episodes 1-10 subbed with OK translations, they were your typical China Town find of bootleg copied VHS's for 2000
- Lioconvoy2kSUBS did 2 episodes in LOOSE subs back in 2000 which never got past that.
- TV-Nihon did 5 episodes in great translations by again, stopped after that in 2008

Don't forget about us! Actually we started before TV-Nihon back in Oct / Nov 2005 after my son was born ^_^ Our distribution was really bad though (only through Newsgroups) My wife and I did the translations for the first 4 eps and then I had a few friends assist with the eps up to 12. However, due to family commitments etc, I couldn't continue... but it was always in the back of my mind to get this thing done at some point.

Luckily last year a former student and now good friend of mine who went back to Japan offered to help revive the project. After that, my wife joined in to do a few eps as well as a few other friends who had some spare time. Then finally another former student of mine said she'd pretty much do whatever was left as she wanted to do something like this for a long time. And here we are
