Glue? What's best to bond plastic?

My MP Red Alert has some broken tabs that need repair. These tabs are needed for transformation and therefore need a glue that will hold with mild friction/force.

Recommendations?

yeah, no clue is strong enough to hold such small tabs.

But a combination of a pin and glue will probably work. Recommend a trial run on a junker first.

Heat up a pin and push it into the robot shoulder. Then let it cool and remove.

Re-heat pin and push it into the tab. Cool and remove.

Clip the pin to the desired length and then mess around with both tab and robot and pin until everything lines up nice.

Take some plastic epoxy or rubber cement and apply to pin, holes and surfaces.

Push everything together and clamp. An elastic band will work as a clamp.

After a day, have a look. Note the glue will most likely burn the plastic around it a bit which may require some paint.

This method is extremely invasive to the toy but will work.

Another option is to buy a KO and partswap

the tabs look too small for pins. you'll likely split the tabs in half.

Not only this but you may lose flexibility those tabs need to work properly.

Thanx for the advise. Definitely too small to use pins, looks like I may be shit outta luck. At least he is still a good display piece, just in alt mode he will now have a floppy front end.

Ya, I would give this a shot. I don't know if it will last with much use but you have nothing to lose by trying it. Tabs that are meant to flex are next to impossible to completely fix without melting it and reshaping it back together.
