Parents definitely spent that kind of cash on their kids. Canadians spend 700$ on average for holiday shopping. They are spending that money on something. There are so many large ticket toys produced, they are not all sold to collectors.

As a collectable it is mediocre, though it would look decent at the back of a collectibles display as Devastator.

As a toy it muthaf***ing rocks, and is the most fun I've had with a Transformer in years.

So it's really going to depend on what you want out of it.

Me? I don't regret $140 on it for a second, and I'd buy another one if I was flush with cash (or if they stay stocked long enough for clearance).

Oshawa and Ajax Costco both had them this morning at 10am. I grabbed mine, and yes they are $139.99.
