They seemed to be going for as low as $80.

So I ended up going home with:
Alternators Sideswipe (thanks to cybertron.ca member)
animated Blurr (thanks to cybertron.ca member)
universe Treadbolt and Jetfire both for $40.
legends megatron $5.
FOC starscream $10
generations hoist $10
Reprolabels for my Alternators Tracks.
g1 cosmos $5
and a Puzz3D Star destroyer which I'm told will take several painful hours to put together 823 pieces all of which are grey.

Re: So What did YOU Buy at Ontario Collectors Con 2014?

I've been noticing that people didn't really spend/buy much at this con.

My excuse is lack of funds, but I got exactly what I wanted.

Unlike TFCon it seems like people are more focused on what they want to get at this con. Maybe because there's a lot more variety?

^^^
Or maybe because this con was focused on a dealer room and not panel rooms as well??

Re: So What did YOU Buy at Ontario Collectors Con 2014?

Not too much for me, I traded for the other vintage Predaking fist I needed, got loose jap. universe Sunstorm, and a couple of vintage Ninja Turtles. Also a vintage lego set for my bro and a Toad stuffy for the wife.

I think a lot of people are still reeling from Christmas

As well, with no panels, there aren't people buying things on impulse because they are killing time before the next panel they want to visit. Those are my guesses.

well the fact that i am interested in transformers only and nothing else, means i just walk by a good chunk of non-tf vendors and not look at anything, but thats just me

Re: So What did YOU Buy at Ontario Collectors Con 2014?

I think the other thing, which I know impacted me greatly, is there's a LOT of product now. It seems like more than ever before. And product is getting more expensive all the time. This causes 2 things:

1. Way less impulse buying (ie people stick to "the list")
2. Still trying to find things not previously acquired. I know I saved up specifically for a couple of figures and ultimately never found them at the 'con. I did finally spend the money elsewhere, but I almost left without buying anything. It was really one final walk-through that helped me find 1 "list" item and that put me below the financial mark for the rest of my list so that's when the impulse buying started.

I would suspect we're going to see toy buying (across all major supported product lines) get more specific, just because people can't afford to buy everything anymore. There's just too much stuff available to behave that way anymore.
