Re: Experience with FedEx -- Can anyone share?

I shipped a couple times using Fed Ex, not by choice though, and each time, there was a letter that followed saying I owed them money. The website I ordered from said all fees were charged up front during payment, however, Fed Ex seems to add their own mystery fees. I never paid them and I never will ! I always choose USPS, or if overseas, SAL or EMS, excellent service each and every time !

Yeah, turns out, what was paid at the door was ONLY the brokerage, and these fees were from Canada Customs which "takes up to 30 days to process their fees"

Fuck FedEx...
Happened to me as well when I ordered from hasbrotoyshop.com. They sent a letter stating that I owe them money for brokerage and/or custom fees even though I paid everything up front with HTS. Took me a month going back and forth with FedEx and HTS to settle things...

Yeah, SAL all the way. I don't mind paying for EMS sometimes if it's like $5 more or if I just really want to get something fast or it's already a great deal (like on Mandarake or something). Sometimes the safety of tracking is nice but UPS and FedEx are getting away with murder in Canada.

Wow I had no idea you get a bill in the mail weeks after delivery.

Note to self: Avoid FedEx like the hate plague!

I avoid UPS and FedEx like a plague unless it is a necessity (e.g. item too big/heavy).
