Problems with Crossfire bruticus!
So I finally got my hands on ROTF set of Bruticus to go with my Crossfire Explorer and Munitioner today, and of course I immediatly set about combining them. Everything was going smoothly until I noticed the missile pod used to connect Vortex to the rest of the body is on upside down, meaning one of the peg holes can't connect. Anyone else out there have this problem? Anyone have an idea on how to fix it? I can provide pics to show the exact problem.

Re: Problems with Crossfire bruticus!
Had just gotten ROTF Superion myself and the assembly errors on some of these are just wierd.
Pics would help us see what the problem is.

Re: Problems with Crossfire bruticus!
Did you try putting it on the other side of the copter by chance?

Re: Problems with Crossfire bruticus!
Been looking over the instructions included with Bruticus, was this piece included with the original figure?

No, this is one of the Fansproject pieces. And yeah I did try reversing it, the issue is that one of the flaps is upside down. basically the missile pod has a flap on each side, and one put on the right way both flaps have a round peg hole for where they connect with the figure forming the arm. The hole should be on the bottom of the flap, but one of them the hole as at the top.

Re: Problems with Crossfire bruticus!
may have to remove the pin and flip the flap around so the hole is on the right side.

Re: Problems with Crossfire bruticus!
I just looked at mine and yours looks backwards compared to mine. On mine the angled part is toward the cockpit of the copter. Does it line up on just one side, or is it both that don't line up.

Yeah that is the problem exactly, only one of the flaps lines up properly. The other one, specifically the front flap, is reverse so it is facing the wrong direction. I am wondering if it is possible to fix this problem as I am very paranoid about busting the part.

Re: Problems with Crossfire bruticus!
Looks like you're going to have to pop the pin that holds that flap out, turn the flap around, and reassemble the pieces. Use a really pointy screwdriver or drill bit to push the pin out and in.
I wouldn't try contacting Fansproject about this because they won't respond. I have a similar issue with the right shoulder piece of my Shadow Commander (peg that fits into figure's screw hole is on the front when it should be on the back). The piece still fits on the figure but not very securely. *Sigh* Only a minor unfixable annoyance. It has been 2 months since I contacted Fansproject about this.
Anyways, good luck with fixing your missassembly.
