What is Transformers: Phase 1?
Well guys and gals I got a question that is actually related to my job, I work in a comic book store so not a big leap there.
Anyway. A guy called my boss today asking for Transformers Phase 1, and since I am the big Transformers guy on staff he naturally asked me. Now I wasn't sure what this is, but the title does ring a bell. Initially I thought it was just another name for the first arc of IDWs comics, Infiltration, but I think I am wrong there.
I then googled the name and didn't get anything. I am a little stumped on this one. I am not sure where I have heard this name before, but if someone could provide an answer for me that would be great.

Maybe he meant the first volume of the IDW Transformers Collection that was just released? Other than that I can't help you since I don't really know anything about comic books (that's why I'm getting the IDW collections).

I have all the IDW stuff.. as well as all the dreamwave stuff before they went under.. dont recall seeing that name ever..
Unless they are using it for a new TPB or something being release.

Yeah my knowledge on TF comics is pretty solid, hence why I am confused and asking if anyone else knows.
Perhaps I should shine the Protoman signal and seek his aid.

My guess is he means either Infiltration #1 but more likely ongoing #1....if it helps ask the guy what's on the cover or whats going on in the story to get a better idea.

I'm pretty sure what the guy's looking for is the IDW hardcover that came out a week or two ago. It collects the various Transformers mini-series and one-shots in chronological order. It's called Transformers: The IDW collection Vol.1.

Isnt there also the TPB thats coming out this week that's the first part of IDW's TF ongoing? Could that be what he's refering to? Probably a good idea to get some more info from the customer to see what he's really looking for.

Yeah, I thought that to. I just checked the invoice, we have that trade coming in this week, but it is listed as Ongoing Vol. 1 For All Mankind.

It's funny, the first thing that came to my mind was what the Constructicons say when they transform from Robot to alt-mode "PHASE 1" and then to Devastator "PHASE 2"....lol...
In all seriousness, haven't heard of this either.
