Ironhide TFP

I never understood why Ironhide never made it to Transformers Prime, and he was replaced by Bulkhead, no offence Bulky, but Ironhide is more tougher than Bulkhead, and still no show. Why is that? Well after going through google and trying to find out why he never made it, this is what I found;

TRANSFORMERS PRIME WIKIA:
Originally, Ironhide was to star in Transformers Prime. However, Ironhide's death in Transformers: Dark of The Moon caused the writers to think twice about using him and to avoid confusing children.

DOTM came out in 2011, TF Prime came out in 2010. I am pretty sure they started productions way before 2010 as it came out in January of 2010 so I say sometime in 2009 or even late 2008. That is 2-3 years before DOTM and at the time ROTF was still fresh.

Still don't understand it

Re: Ironhide TFP

It gets more confusing then that, Bulkhead was called Ironhide in Animated (to keep the ties to the movie), while Animated Ironhide was called Armorhide. It's.............. complex

I think Ironhide was just not put it due to budget reasons and Bulkhead still being a carry over iconic character from Animated (also for name trademarking reasons)

Re: Ironhide TFP

The Takara/Tomy version was pretty cool and not horribly far from the concept:

Since the Takara/Tomy TFP figures came with Arms Micron minions, the Ironhide didn't have the twin arm cannons...so I got a hold of a Hasbro TFP Kup, and took the arm cannons off him and used them on the Takara Ironhide. Not my photo, but looks like this:

Re: Ironhide TFP

I had the Takara Ironhide and sold it. Not fond of the limited head clearance with the truck kibble to either side and his upper legs are too thin for the character (IMO). And he is too small for the character... small deluxe.
