final battle cybertron redalert
i recently aquired an extra of this fig.this was done to commemorate one of the most brutal scenes (imho)i've witnessed in a show marketed for young'uns.if you hav'nt watched the cybertron series,the story behind this bot=after megatron recieved his second cyberkey which unlocked a mini gattling gun,he then proceded to turn redalert,hotshot and scattorshot into swiss cheese.(this is the start of the cybertron defense force bodies for the 3 bots).a soldering gun was used for most of the battle damage first,including the missing half of his head.then came some light panel lining with grey.then all damaged areas were painted black,then drybrushed.he then recieved a light black spray in certain areas(to simulate explosions that went off nearby)followed by some matte clearcoat.







cybertron hotshot is also in the works right now and i still have to find another cyb.scattorshot as the other extra one i had got turned into classics warpath.

seriously though,did anyone elses jaw drop when that scene aired?how often do you see bullets/lasers cut right through characters in shows aimed at kiddies?
