Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
Looks like the old doc Beyond the Mat has been uploaded to Netflix.
Jimmy Hart was on Right After Wrestling this week. And it looks like Mick Foley was on Monday Night Mayhem Podcast as well.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
I know this is an older list, but according to the WWE this is their 50 top Superstars of all time.
1. Shawn Michaels
2. The Undertaker
3. Steve Austin
4. Bret Hart
5. The Rock
6. Harley Race
7. Ricky Steamboat
8. Andre the Giant
9. Rey Mysterio
10. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper
11. Eddie Guerrero
12. Triple H
13. Gorgeous George
14. "Macho Man" Savage
15. "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig
16. John Cena
17. Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair (tied)
19. Edge
20. Jerry "The King" Lawler
21. Lou Thesz
22. Terry Funk
23. Hulk Hogan
24. Bruno Sammartino
25. Chris Jericho
26. Ted DiBiase
27. Fabulous Moolah
28. Classy Freddie Blassie
29. Randy Orton
30. Pat Patterson
31. The Iron Sheik
32. Jimmy Snuka
33. Mick Foley
34. Kurt Angle
35. Buddy Rogers
36. Gorilla Monsoon
37. Junkyard Dog
38. "Superstar" Billy Graham
39. Jake "The Snake" Roberts
40. Big Show
41. Jack Brisco
42. Sgt. Slaughter
43. Kane
44. Nick Bockwinkel
45. Jeff Hardy
46. Dory Funk Jr.
47. Bob Backlund
48. Rick Rude
49. Batista
50. Killer Kowalski
Now, I know most of this is politically motivated, but I've got some personal thoughts on the list.
-Shawn Michaels should NOT be at #1. Yes, I do respect his abilities in the ring, but he's hardly a household name like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, or the Rock.
-Hulk Hogan should be at least in the Top 10. While his wrestling ability is questionable, the man made Pro wrestling what is is today and the legacy he's made in the wrestling world should not be denied. Forget everything past the WWE/WCW merge and tell me he didn't make a humongous impact in the wrestling world
-Mick Foley should really be higher on the list than Randy Orton
-Ric Flair also not being in the top 10 is a crime.
-Rey Mysterio should be WAYYYY down the list. Probably not even in the top 20.
-Edge should be higher. At least in the top 15.
-Chris Jericho should also be in the top 20 at least.
-Jerry Lawler should be closer to the bottom of the list.
Overall, I think the entire list needs to be revised, but those are the points that stick out the most in my mind.
Thoughts?

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
^first imho should be undertaker...showvalue alone.
i don't see goldberg on there at all
i agree with hulkamania though,he's basically one of the originals from when i grew up.(m/m randy, jake the snake, etc)definately should have been higher up.
i also agree edge should be higher up too.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
The list is flawed in my opinion.
Hogan, in terms of the WWE, needs to be top 5 all time.
No Bobby Heenan? Rey at #9, I think not.
I'd flip Jericho and Edge, but overall their spots aren't bad. Andre is way to high, Macho way to low.
Big Show? Jeff Hardy? Batista?
What about Trish Stratus? Owen Hart? Where are they?
I'd even question if Rick Flair should be on a WWE list at all. His time with the company wasn't that significant.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
I agree with most of the points on that list, so I'll just say that that list is terrible. Obviously very political.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
Shawn is #1 on that list cause his best friend is fucking the boss's daughter. If I had a friend fucking Stephanie, I am pretty sure they could put ME on the list over Hulk Hogan.
The fact that Hulk Hogan is #23 on this list shows there is something SERIOUSLY wrong here. Without him, the WWF/E would have been dead in the 80s and never make it to the 90s. Not in the Top 5? Wow, not in the Top 10? WTF. Not the in the Top 20, THE HELL IS GOING ON!? 23........ something is really wrong. Undertaker, I agree, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, The Rock, Haley Race, they all belong there (mind you I would change the order a bit )
Also people like Batista and Randy Orton should really not even be on this list, let alone to place them so high above people who are legends and payed their dues years ago.
In the end, this list is bullshit, but what do you expect. Back in 2002, the WWF did a poll to figure out who was the best superstar of all time and it's top 5 was
1. Bret "The Hitman" Hart
2. Shawn Micheals
3. The Undertaker
4. Hulk Hogan
5. The Rock
I can't argue with that one, but it was also fan driven........ the ones who truly mold and decide that happens in that industry.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
What the hell, Mysterio cracked the top 10 but not Hogan? Mysterio belongs at the bottom of that illustrious and extremely flawed list. Where is Scott Hall? Benoit? The Ultimate Warrior? Trish Stratus and Lita? There is no way Bruno Sammartino should be on that top 50 list!
If anything, the Undertaker should be tops on that list.
