Funny enough, me and my friends went to a card shop yesterday and ended up buying combined ~$500 of the M14 Core Set. Ugh, we said we were not going to go too far. And I said that I quit Magic and ended up getting sucked back in recently lol.

It's their first time doing exclusives for SDCC and it's been a bit of a mess.

I only play casualy these days but I do collect FOIL planeswalkers so the idea of missing 5 of them is driving me nuts.

That's pretty bananas if you have foils of all the other planewalkers. And expensive too.

I should say that I only bought $20 of singles for my R/U and Elf decks. I did spend a bunch building my Selesnya token deck a few weeks ago though. Everyone else bought a fat pack or booster box or both.

I only ever played casually for fun; meaning I don't want to build a deck that predicates everything on having a flying double strike trample with viligance and hexproof creature. My friends are trying to get me to play tourneys, but I don't wanna. I might try it once or twice while my token deck is still tourney legal.

Did anyone try to get a rain check from TRU for the 50% off deluxe and voyager sales? Most TRU have nothing other than a few shelfwarmers.

Just picked up a Sam's Club exclusive Armada Starscream (had no idea this variant existed), but it was missing the minicon. Any chance someone has a spare Minicon Zapmaster (not the blue and white one that came with the Armada Thundercracker, but the one that came with this variant of Starscream - body is gray/black with red wheels) or even a spare Minicon Swindle (the one that came with the regular Armada Starscream, red body, black wheels)?

Lets put this into a little perspective, SDCC Bruticus cost $99 with nice packaging. Add Grimlock, its $170, yeh they might have shot too high.....
