Re: What's everyone's budget for Transformers in 2014?

Wait until it's a year and you have to pay $1000 a month for daycare. That cuts into the TF budget pretty quickly!

There is so much I want for this year already and I know there is still another 1/3 - 1/2 coming out this year that I do not know about yet.

Where there is a will there is a way and boy do I will it. The silver lining is I have a lot of collection pieces I am looking to sell so that can cover my TF costs some.

I'm actually in the process of finding a private school for my son and so far I'm running into rates between $800 up to $1500 a month.

That'll probably kill my transformers, video games and travel budgets for the year..

Re: What's everyone's budget for Transformers in 2014?

I never have a budget, but I try to keep my toy purchases to at most 50% of what I earn from my freelance side job every year. Hasbro should be saving me boatloads this year though on TFs and Star Wars, which will give me more to put towards 3rd Party TFs and Lego if I choose to. Problem is, there are so many great 3P toys being announced right now, with competing versions of characters, that I am probably going to site back and take a "wait and see" approach. I used to hop on the pre-orders asap but I'll wait for price drops for 3P, ebay for MPs. Also it is getting tough to decide between all those combiners coming out. For example, do I spring for Warbotron now at 600 bones, wait for it to price drop in a year or so, or wait until inevitably another company does a not-Bruticus, perhaps one that looks better than Warbotron?

Re: What's everyone's budget for Transformers in 2014?

MMC FR is in 2013's budget , so we have

2014 Budget:
Must Have
- FT Slag Standard Toy Color = 190 $
- FT Swoop Standard Toy Color = 180 - 190 $
- Takara MP Wheeljack = 45 $ (from AE)
- MMC Fembots 50$/ea, say 2 - 4 of them
- Waspanitor if can find it = 20$
Debating on which to get, and which ones to skip
- MMC Felisaber = 75$
- WB Blast Off = 90$
- MP Bumblebee = 50$ from HLJ or AE
- FT Skyfire (depends on price, I might not be able to afford)
- Rinox = 30$
Would like, but likely cant budget in:
- FP Mindwipe = 70$
- Xtransbot Huffer in Gobot redeco = 70$
- FP Roadbuster

2015 Budget:
Must Have:
- MP Jazz or Mirage or Sunstreaker or Hound = 50 - 100$ (1 or 2)
- 2x FT Dinobots = 400 $
Would like:
MMC Seraph if white and have budget = 150 - 200 $
MP Meg or Galvatron if made = 175 - 200 $

2016 Budget:
- MP car, if the ones on the list
- FT products if Triple Changers only
- Catch up on MP if Meg or Galv and was not able to afford from before, or if Hasbro Galv is made

2017 Budget:
MP car and whatever missed from MP Meg / Triple Changers (better be done by now)

@ Transbot, hey glad to see you hang out here still, but NO Fans Toys this year in your budget?
