Thanks, Cancelling my Preorder on Amazon.

Between having to stress about packages going through halton Hills, getting delivered empty and tampered packages.

No way do I want to trust them with a high demand item like the coneheads.

for safety's sake I wouldn't cancel the order until you're sure everything on your end is kosher and you know you're going to receive the order. Amazon is generally pretty easy with returns so it's not the biggest deal if you have to ship it back to them if you do end up getting both at the same time, otherwise you can always cancel the still-outstanding order if you receive one before the other.


It's my standard operating procedure when I have to double up just because the last thing I want is to cancel an order, have something go wrong with the still-active one, and then be out everything simply on account of haste on my part.

For me the other advantage of Amazon is that they don't charge until they ship, so it's basically a "free" placeholder/backup plan. There's not much downside at all to waiting until the last possible minute. And if something does go sideways it's usually pretty easy to badger their customer service department into getting your way because they make so much money that spending hours dicking around with one person over less than $100 isn't worth their time.
