Looks like his feet will make him just as fast in robot mode as in vehicle mode. Him and Bonecrusher can go to the rollerdisco together.
If I had to speculate though I would have to guess Blurr maybe? It doesn't look like (from what I've seen so far) any of the new TF's are based on any G1 characters. Probably all entirely new characters that just share old characters names (like the Unicron trilogy).
