Deluxe figures are the meat of any line as they are the most affordable to parents and most collectors. Once wave 8 hits the isles the line is pretty much on it's last legs. Even the premiums were wave 8 in the last movie line. The other line products will most likely be released in between waves 6-7. We'll probably see three new waves of HA before we see wave 7 deluxe.

Re: Cybertron.ca's Transformers Q&A Answers for August 2009 from Hasbro

While I appreciate Hasbro telling us what goes into that $25 extra shipping that HTS charges, I can't help but think they could do better than that by shipping from Canada. That's all I'll say.

Alright, I lied, one more thing: I realize they probably won't do it because Canadian HTS consumers are likely to be too small a market. However, I still hope that they do figure out something better. Bigger orders do theoretically represent shipping savings, however shipping also increases with the size of your order, so the overall savings never really materialize.

Re: Cybertron.ca's Transformers Q&A Answers for August 2009 from Hasbro

Here's a hardly scientific quick "Shopping Experiment"

HTS:
3 Deluxes (Arcee, Scorponok, Swerve) $12.99 each
2 Scouts (Nightbeat, Ejector) $7.99 each
Leader Jetfire $44.99

$99.94 total
+ $9.95 shipping charge
+ $25 to Canada
Total: $134.89 USD

conversion to C$ using rate of: 1.1 = C$148.28

Same weight of stuff from an online store like BBTS:
Shipping is: $25.39 via USPS
(and the price markup over $30 higher than HTS)
(and plus USPS takes X weeks to arrive here)
(and plus potential customs charge which I always get hit with)

Canadian Cost at retail (assuming regular Walmart pricing here):

C$ 15.92 x3
C$ 9.92 x2
C$ 58.92 x1

C$126.52 sub-total
C$132.85 with GST
