I'm looking towards 2012 and....

I don't see a whole lot on the horizon; am I missing something? Sure we have some leftover movie stuff like Q/Wheel Jack and a handful of new Prime molds, but I have to ask, what is in the pipline for Hasbro in 2012?

A bit lacking if you ask me, considering Hasbro (and Transformers) have had a banner year.

Thoughts?

I share your sentiment... Maybe TFP will introduce new characters that will create some excitement for new molds by mid-2012? Certainly there seems to be a bit of a glut of DOTM toys still out there and I am not sure what will "wow" people going forward? I read somewhere that a Leader Meg and Leader Shockwave are in the works?? Is it possible that a continuation of Generations/RTS/CHUG-ish toys will re-emerge? Regardless, it may be a year where Third Party stuff is where the excitement will be. Prices are getting really high there though!

I'm always hoping for more Masterpiece quality molds without electronics!

Re: I'm looking towards 2012 and....

I'm looking forward to Prime stuff. So far, I've liked it all, even Bumblebee.

I'm looking forward to the oddballs and weirdos and the G1 homages snuck in -- the molds introduced after the movie mainstays. These are always interesting. HftD gave us Breacher, Terradive, Tomahawk, Seaspray, and Highbrow. RtS gave us Windcharger, Tracks, Jazz, Lugnut, and Grapple.

I'm not looking forward to more repaint waves, and Sea Attack Ravage: The Sequel.

Won't it be all about Prime with the usual Classics-like fillers?

Probably going to have a toy line tie-in for the Fall of Cybertron game.

Cool Re: I'm looking towards 2012 and....

I foresee 2012 and 2013 being "dull" years, because I predict Hasbro will be doing something uber awesome, that'll make your wallets hurt in 2014...

Why? 2014 will be the 30th Anniversary of the Transformers brand. That's a big deal and I'm sure there'll be so much product on the shelves that some of you will wish you had saved up funds much earlier.

Just a thought.

Honestly, I don't get the negativity because there's SO MUCH that could be released in the near future, and since Hasbro & retailers know that it'll sell, there shouldn't be a problem getting it to the floors.

The 30th anniversary speculation makes sense, but eh. I'm not worried, at least not yet.
