We really need a flipping tables emoticon here. Why can't they just kill him off already? I'm creating my own canon, all Gungans were blown up. The End.

Again, your bad taste shows. I thoroughly enjoyed the new clone wars show from episode one. Sure the other one was good and entertaining, did it show the breadth and depth of a true war? Not in the least.

Nope, sorry. You are wrong. JJ's trek was so much better in every way and the numbers prove it.
Also, the Clone Was series was made for children to sell toys; the original was geared at adults who did not need to be spoon feed stories, ask any true adult Star Wars fan.

Are you 12? Seriously? How old are you? Because I am not wrong, you are. JJ's Trek was garbage and MOST Star Trek fans will tell you that.
As for Clone Wars, again you are wrong. You don't seem to grasp the concept that the 6 seasons are a far more in depth look at the ACTUAL clone war than a 55 minute cartoon was.
Seriously, do you always argue your points from the wrong point of view or does that just come naturally to you?

I'm 40, for what it is worth.
I've never really been a Star Trek fan, and I know a few hard core Star Trek fans who hated the JJ Abrams versions, but you can't really deny how much money they made. Thats the point TJ is making.
Better or worse is subjective because different people are going to like different things. Same deal with TCW.
Michael Bay also comes to mind as well

I don't know that I would believe the guy who said that. He seems a bit untrustworthy

Wait a minute. The guy who voiced Gollum is going to be in Episode 7? That would be career suicide if he's going to play Jar Jar. It must be a new character. He can't be that crazy.

I'm not denying they made a lot of money, but they are clearly NOT Star Trek, not even in the slightest. All they cared about was making lots of explosions and cool special effects. The writing was terrible, the lens flare was terrible, the acting was subpar on almost everyone save Bones and Scottie.
JJ shit all over what was Star Trek to make his movies. Are they entertaining? Of course they are, but they are not Star Trek.

Actually they are Star Trek. It's pretty well right in the movie title. Of course, from your vantage point, you may have missed that tiny detail.
