I was reading that the Gun that Backfire transforms into does not work well with Cannon/nest bumblebee.. Does anyone know if the guy will work with leader or voayager size mech tech ports? or ultimate Optimus prime in his hand?

I am thinking that it might make a better gun for a larger sized figure.

I have the original release of Backfire with my leader Ironhide. It looks like a big shotgun/cannon. I got the idea from Peaugh's review of Backfire, but it looks really good I think.

I use the original as a shoulder cannon for Sentinel Prime. Works well for him, and gives him an extra edgy look.

I tend to swap between Backfire and Tailpipe being connected to Human Alliance Roadbuster (Unfortunately, I have not been able to get a Roadbuster or Soundwave yet, so Roadbuster is the only HA figure I have that they will fit on.)

Attaching the HA Basics to voyagers works well enough (if a little out of scale) but they work best attached to a leader or Human Alliance class figure.
