Re: Do you ever NOT look?

I always look unless I'm just in a super big hurry or I already know there's nothing.

Re: Do you ever NOT look?

Hells ya....no point checking when you know something isn't due...even if you're in the area...

Not to mention if by chance something does pop up, collectors will only go nuts for it for maybe the first week and if none of the people I know out and about don't find something for me, I get it myself in restock.

For example...right now people are going nuts for HA Jazz and Seaspray. Did I go on a rampage looking for one after I didn't find on at TRU when I got MP Grimlock? No. Because they will be more...Seaspray won't be that popular, he'll be a shelf warmer in time since kids don't usually care about "the boat" and Jazz collectors just want right now because HA typically doesn't sell well for kids and I've never had trouble finding any other figure. Even Barricade was practically brought to me.

The secret is knowing how to gauge the popularity of something and whether or not you can wait for it, or if one of your friends out and about on the hunt can hook you up.

Re: Do you ever NOT look?

I always, always look. Even when I say that "I'll only be a minute", I look. That just means instead of walking for the toy aisles at my leisure, I'll run for them, instead. ;D

Of course, then there's the fact that I'm wont to think that if something wasn't there the first time, that after I've done all my other shopping, that something new will have magically appeared during that time, and I'll check the toy area again. 8P

Re: Do you ever NOT look?

Without a second thought, yes. So much so that I'll co-ordinate my daily and / or weekly errands to allow me to be in good time to drop by the local stores. It's automatic now; a routine. I only wish store inventories & release dates could keep up, so I'm not left walking out in empty-handed disappointment for most of those trips. However, when you DO catch something you've been waiting on, it makes it all worthwhile.
