Shocking that they're still chugging along with the AOE product. The price averages out to $40 per figure, far higher than any one of them would cost on its own -- that chrome had better be polished silver with a price tag like that!

At this point I'm already dreading what the Victorion set is going to cost.

I wonder what I'd get as a reply if I sent that along with an attached link to these Dinobots to their customer service e-mail?

Their Platinum division...needs to be fired and shamed on the way out the door......

It probably would have been a lot cheaper if not for the new G1 heads. Effectively these are 5 new molds with a limited run.

Re: Platinum Dinobots on TRU.ca

Breaking down the cost, it's two voyagers and three deluxes. Normal cost for those is $60 for the two voyagers and just under $50 for the three deluxes. Total normal cost $110. Add on the specialty cost for new head sculpts, I couldn't justify spending mor than $150 for this.

Who ever is doing the pricing on this line needs to get back to their desk and do some homework on the market because they're out to lunch on the prices.

Re: Platinum Dinobots on TRU.ca

Given

-remolded toys sold individually cost the same as regular toys and
-multi-packs usually cost less than all the toys separately

this set shouldn't cost more than $100.
