Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

10th Anniversary TF Prime 2 pack arrived today... super happy. Been wanting Breakdown for years and did not want to pay crazy prices. Jet Vehicon is great too with a fantastic metallic deco. And I did not realize how cool both of their minicon weaponizers are as well.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

OK, so I just tried transforming TF Prime Breakdown from the 10th anni set. His left elbow does not want to bend backwards to go into truck mode. I took it off the mushroom peg and tried forcing it, nothing. I then tried with my teeth, nothing. I even tried pliers using a reasonable amount of force and NOTHING. It just won't budge. I don't want to put anymore force cause I think it's going to break. The good thing is when I take it off the mushroom peg at the elbow it will still transform into truck mode, just unfortunate that this is how it is going to have to be for now on. I do not feel comfortable using anymore force than what I already have. Pliers, people, pliers, it's just not natural!?! LOL!

What do you guys think someone like this is thinking...

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml...273724628.html

Been up there for a while.

When I see guys flip TF's for 5, 10, 15 dollars over retail, I don't get the hassle for that kind of return but at least I can understand the mindset.

When I see stuff like this, I just wonder how someone get's so far out to lunch?

Well it doesn't cost them anything to post at stupid prices. And if someone bites, then they walk away with a lot of money in their pocket.

If no one bites, they can just return the item and not lose any money in the end.

A lot of non returnable, older stuff in there.

Unless they bought from Costco or something.

I'm more looking at this thinking how could someone think ANYONE would pay 100 per figure for those?

Even if you get all your pricing based off of highest sold prices on Ebay, you'd still be shooting for jupiter.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

*Shrug* you can always return stuff for store credit too. Not like Walmart has sales on their toys ever. Otherwise they can just sit on it and wait.

There are always ppl who are new to the hobby and missed out when the toy was released. They may not do the proper research and not realize if it's a good deal or not.

In a year or two those prices may be what they are really going for.

Anyways, as I said, it doesn't cost him anything to inflate his prices. If someone bites they're golden. If not, they can just sit on it and wait. At those prices it's obvious they're not in a rush to sell them.

Everyone else can just skim on by.

That ad originally had it at $3000 for the lot now reduced 2000
so that’s 33% off!

I'm a cynic, so when I look around that the world, stuff like this doesn't surprise me as much as it used to, because never underestimate the desperation and stupidity of an individual.
