Just judging by the quality of what came out of the bag I'm guessing this was a legit find.

If they were going to plant something it would be nicer.

Yeah they usually plant unusual stuff, and usually small quantity. Basically they shoot for one item to evaluate per locker. I doubt they'd have the budget for such a collection.

Yeah, they definitely made it seem like the handful they pulled out of the bag was worth the $650. 24 bots makes more sense.

And I'm guessing they knew about the Megatron parts all along, or conspired with Daniel

Edit: Seeing TFW2005, $250 makes a lot more sense
