To G3, or not to G3?
I've been chomping at the bit waiting for FansProject's Protector trailer for Classics Rodimus to come out so in the meantime I've been checking out video reviews of their G3 trailer for Classics Optimus Prime/Henkei Convoy.
At first the misproportioned size really turned me off, but damn if it ain't packed full of goodness!
The stealth mode, the spring-loaded Roller, the TFCON PC armour towing function, not to mention the additional weaponry for other Classics figures (3 out of 5 I already have).
So does anyone who owns the G3 trailer recommend this as a 'must have'? I need some third party justification to convince myself I'm not trying to fill a Rodimus Prime-shaped hole while I'm waiting for Protector to come out.

Must have? No.
Really cool to have? Yes.
I like it (for the reasons you mentioned), but at the end of the day it is just a trailer. I do like what FP did with it and the packaging (Classics/Henkei Prime looks awesome in the box with the trailer). If you are really needing to buy something, then yes grab it... you will not be disappointed with the purchase.

Re: To G3, or not to G3?
I usually pass on extra trailers that don't become armor in robot mode....only because I pose my Transformers in robot mode so trailers are usually just cast aside
At least with Armada, Optimus can wear his pants, with Cybertron, he has his backpack and shoes...Energon the trailer is just in my accessories bin...so is Animated Optimus's lame axe that came with him that was considered his "trailer"....yesh...

To me, the G3 trailer is as much of a must have than the Powered/DIA Commander trailer.

The stealth mode is so well integrated that I often forget it's there.

You gotta have it dude. The trailer kicks all kinds of ass, and the rest of the figs benefit so much from the extra gear that your collection will never be the same once you grab it.
I'm dying for the space to display it, but I've got all the goodies in their respective bots' hands.

Hmmm, I didn't consider the space issue. All my Classics are in my office at work right now and I'll have to think of repositioning my 'Bots and 'Cons to accomodate the awesomeness of the G3 trailer.
However there seems to be a resounding 'yes, but it's pricey...' opinion. I think Protector will still be my priority and the G3 will be a close second if I have the cash.
