Beast Machines DVD

Finally found one the other day after wanting it for like 2 years. I had never seen the show and I watched the first episode last night. Not really stoked on the BW stuff, but I thought it was pretty good... How was the rest of the series? And why aren't they releasing complete seasons? It sucks to be stuck with only 5 episodes or a just a few DVDs like for Energon...

Re: Beast Machines DVD

they have the complete series on dvd. Ive seen in in the movie store in square one for like $60.
I like beastmachines alot. except for the fact that it wasnt as fun as beast wars and the characters go through alot of changes. optimus come into question as a leader. ratrap doesnt have a gun and it kinda turns him inot a wimp. the charactor change that I hate the most was silverbolt.(you will see as the series goes on).
but the animation and action is very cool.

Re: Beast Machines DVD

The only character change I kinda like is Silverbolt. Most of the other characters are butchered. Personally, I think BM had a lot of pseudo-philosophical garbage and didn't make much sense. A shame because it had potential.

Re: Beast Machines DVD

There's another BM thread, but it's full of spoilers:

http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showt...beast+machines

For non-spoilers Pascal, I'd say I like BM much better than BW since it wasn't as childish and seemed to take Transformers more seriously.

That said, they took some BOLD directions with their characters and storylines. Some I thought were fantastic, some were annoying.

Also, the writers did their homework. Unlike BW, where they watched the movie for Prime's death scene and completely missed the point of the scene, the BM writers went back to G1 history and plot devices and used some of them very well in the BM timeline.

Re: Beast Machines DVD

I just started watching BW myself and will mostly likely transition to BM. deepdiscount.com looks like it has a good price on the boxset for $37.38 + $5.95 s/h.

Yep, haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but soon. I might even marathon it, I think I can get through 26 episodes in one day, well maybe just the first season instated.
