IDW MTMTE question

As I was reading IDW MTMTE issue 9, I happen to notice, I don't know if it's a cliffhanger or a plot error, but it has me confusing. We see Orion Pax talking to an Autobot about Sentinel. Let's take a look;




When he says " Sentinel is planning something with the Decepticons" is this reference to DOTM?

I am asking this because in DOTM, Sentinel made a plan with the Decepticons.

Thoughts?

It seems pretty unlikely that the current prime wouldn't have interactions with the decepticons in any given timeline, so I don't know what you're confused with.

Also, with James Roberts being such an intelligent & interesting TF writer, I doubt that he would reference trash like DOTM :P

I think it was referencing the false flag terrorist attack that the Senate/Sentinel were arranging at Nominus' funeral; if you recall, they'd stuck a fake matrix bomb in Nominus' attack that they were gonna pin on the Decepticons when it went off, and from there arrest all the ones who had registered/clamp down on the populace.

the idw sentinel is a completely different person in a completely different tf muliverse than the garbage that bayverse spewed out.
micheal bay essentially said "f@ck it,i'm doing my movie.... my way"....

lolz,to add even more confusion,that "autobot" that orion pax is talking to is actually decepticon shockwave before the "empurata" treatment......(even though he looks like he could be ultra magnus's younger twin)
