I have a confession to make...

I am not a very good Transformer-transformerer...that is I am not very good at changing a higher conversion level figure from vehicle to Robot and vice versa.

How did I figure this out? ROTF Optimus Prime almost broke me.... It took me like an hour to transform him, sure I took a break in the middle, but that is still a long time and only after I hit up youtube was I able to convert him properly. I think my main concern is that I am going to break a piece by trying to force it. I think I could do it faster now that I figured it out, but still; this is a toy for kids...

Any one else challenged in the Transforming department?

I'm fine and good at it in general, but I gotta say that for "kids toys" most of the new ones are ridiculous. I saw a kid, maybe, like, 7, convince his mom to get him Skids at the Walmart the other day. Good luck with that one, kid!

Pretty sure everyone takes a while with ROTF Optimus :P

He's practically a masterpiece figure after some practice you can shave your time down to 10 minutes or so...I have noticed lately the ROTF line has some very finiky transformations that require more force then usual, or have unecessarily complicated "attaching mechanisms"

Re: I have a confession to make...

I am fully convinced that these new toys are not for kids. My godson (five years old) would throw away Leader Class Prime and Deluxe Class Skids in a fit of rage because they are really difficult to transform.

After a few tries I got good with Prime, and even with the instructions I went mental with Leader Jetfire.

I enjoy these toys tremendously, but I really think they are fit for adults, which is too bad for kids. I see a lot of kids at the Wal-Marts and the TRUs and they gravitate towards the Bumblebee gun and helmet and the Gravity Bots.

I'm kinda like that too , when I first got my red alternity prime/convoy it took me nearly an hour to figure out his feet... and I was very cautious too, since I was afraid of breaking him.
The sad/ironic thing is he still broke on me.

Your not the only one who struggled with him! I consider myself an average "transfromerer" but it took me, my other TF bud, the instructions and a youtube video to figure him out.....1hr!!

Re: I have a confession to make...

i had SOOOO much trouble tfing gravity bots prime! i mean its IMPOSSIBLE! lol jk.i don't even own him. anyways on topic: i'd consider myself ok at transforming tfs.i acctually like the ones that are hard to tf more than the easy ones. cause if they are hard to tf it means hasbro put alot of effort into making it have a good and accurate robot mode. it dosen't really matter if they take long to tf, it just passees the time.but just like eveyone else i agree rotf prime is really hard.

Re: I have a confession to make...

Now now, ROTF Prime is hard to transform. I think there should be a reversibility rating. Truck to Robot 5 minutes, but Robot to Truck is like 30. So its a 1:6 ratio. The closer this gets to one the easier it is to transform.
