Heck, I'll even take a half-win series like the lacklustre "From Dusk Till Dawn".

Don't forget Arrested Development! Man how awesome would it be to integrate Tobias in StarFleet

I'm hoping it's closer to old trek in that it is more intellectually stimulating than action oriented.

How about something crazy like 1 member from Hazard Team (Star Trek Elite Force video game), along with 10 scientists/engineers crash land on an alien world and have to survive...halfway though 2nd season they get rescued, and have to try to reaclamate to Starfleet, society, and rules. End 2nd season with everyone getting split up and sent on new assignments. Third season introduces a bunch of new characters, and some plot to involve original planet which forces Starfleet to bring back the original 11 officers. One or two of them were injured during their time apart, and are not quite the same as they were when we last saw them.
