Anyone else disappointed in the botcon news?
So like the title says, is anyone else feeling like this Botcon seemed to have little to no real substance?
You'd think if this was going to be the last Botcon from FP there'd be more hubbub to it. The news has been lackluster.
Almost everything they've shown us we say at Toy Fair in Feb...
Hasbro was all but evasive on everything.
Just seems like all they are going to do is their big reveals at SDCC again.

It might be the last botcon, they shut down tfsource, etc.

Re: Anyone else disappointed in the botcon news?
They didn't "shut down" tfsource as a business, just their table at botcon, as tfsource was blatantly giving out flyers for their "other" table at a different location selling 3p. Dumbasses.

Related tho - yeah a bit. Nice to see highbrow and weird wolf, the 86 movie platinum set is nice, but nothing noteworthy at all. Didn't even officially reveal liokaiser. Stuff weve know about or seen really. Oh well.

Re: Anyone else disappointed in the botcon news?
Considering the new paradigm of 4 product previews a year (toy fair, botcon, SDCC, NYCC) they can't do massive reveals anymore. I much prefer getting to see everything they show at a botcon panel, even if it's not as much. Rather than having to rely on, lets face it, bad info (half the time) relayed by guys in panel room. Having to share a lot of reveals with toy fair is a small price to pay.

Re: Anyone else disappointed in the botcon news?
TFSource was not shut down out of bot con. They were told not to be present during the time of their sale only, which was for two hours.

Re: Anyone else disappointed in the botcon news?
Zmultiplier, and Takara (to a certain extent) were the two culprits. If it weren't for the former's leaks, and the latter's retooling, yesterday's reveals would have been far more exciting.

Re: Anyone else disappointed in the botcon news?
I think it was a mixed bag. I was waiting long for an official Computron reveal, seeing highbrow and Wierdwolf was nice. Better Alpha Trion shots were also welcomed. RiD Ratchet caught my attention too oddly. I totally agree tohugh that the panels were useless, Hasbro was very evasive.
