You can't be more wrong. This alt mode was in fact used as actual ambulances and is actually too big in MP scale (vs the humans, not the other bots) to be used as an ambulance.

You could conceivably fit over a dozen spikes in there if the cab was hollow, way more than an actual ambulance could ever hold.

Interesting point that made me look into it. The trademark issue would be with Johnson and Johnson who actually sued the Red Cross for the logo. Takara adding the Autobot logo to the symbol and not wanting to mess with Johnson & Johnson makes sense to me.

You are wrong. The Red Cross does not belong to Johnson & Johnson. It's an international symbol of human lives, not American corporate profit.

There's actually a very strict use on the red cross on international legal level
