Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread
I think I might have just done a bad job wording my question, which just basically does anyone know of any Japanese e-tailors other than HLJ that are decent to deal with.

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread
Nippon-Yasan and Anime-Export are two.

HLJ has it for 6000 Yen or $62.88 Canadian before shipping.

BBTS has it for $79.99 or $103.43 Canadian before shipping.

Neither has free shipping but it's a $40 difference before shipping, even with shipping and customs because of the favorable exchange rate I look like I'm coming out on top with a Japanese E-tailer.

You're right. I failed to convert the BBTS prices to CAD, my bad.
See how presenting FACTS can propel a conversation forward rather than turning it in endless loops?
Thank you for contributing to a conversation properly.

Even at the current sale price of 17,600 yen, MP10 is still going to fetch you 184$ CAD BEFORE shipping.
Can we STOP saying ordering from japan is cheaper? It clearly isn't given the PROOF provided. Source: HLJ.com, Xe.com

Last I checked, TRU was also an etailer anyway.
But since you want apples to apples, that same MP10 from HLJ sells for 189.99$ on BBTS.
Again, same price.

You can't compare a price in the past to a current price. You have to compare prices at the same moment. TODAY, it is virtually the same price to order from Japan as it is from the US. The 10$ discrepancy is made up in shipping costs where shipping from japan will cost more than from the US.
BBTS has the MP10 reissue right now for 189.99$ so... you're wrong.
But since you insist of comparing to NY's 14900 yen preorder price, BBTS offered MP10 reissue for 159.99$ so again, you're wrong.
It's the same price, plain and simple.

Another one is Ami Ami. Stick to ordering during the early bird window and you'll save yourself significant $$$.
If you miss the window, do NOT order from BBTS if its above around $50 cause Canada Customs knows their packaging and loves to stop their parcels to tack on customs fees. Try alternatives like Chimungmung, the site sponsors (banners along the right side) or a local dealer/show and you'll be set

My preference at the moment is Anime-Export. Great deals on Japanese figures and cheap shipping.
I've used eToys dozens of times and they have always been very good to deal with. They are a few dollars more for each figure but they usually include the coin, and sometimes they throw in the Amazon Exclusives if applicable.
I've heard good things about AmiAmi as well, but I've never used them.
Some good "Plan B" e-tailers are Chimungmung, ActionRobo, & Robotkingdom but they will be a little more.

I fail to see what it is you're trying to accomplish. I've already admitted my error and I've already apologized for it so what's your angle?
