Thoughts on Comparing MP01 vs MP10 convoy?

Hey guys, I would love to start a thread on what you guys think about which is better?

MP01 or MP10? I personally like to side with MP01 because it is just THAT much bigger and heavier and just a nice figure/stature to have?

Although I have to admit, MP10 looks so good in the vehicle mode!

Lemme know!

Re: Thoughts on Comparing MP01 vs MP10 convoy?

Both OP is different
mp-01- bigger, more die cast, more gimmick, a true masterpiece
mp-10- very poseable, lightweight making it more playable and pose able, the trailer is pretty cool too
I have both and felt the same way that most people feels that mp-01 is better but after playing it, i like the fact that mp-10 is very light weight and pose able. I've found myself picking up the mp-10 more often and reposing him than i do with mp-1.
Like i said before, both are different masterpieces

I agree! but when you compare how much MP1 and MP4 was priced when it first came out.. and how much MP10 costs nowadays.. definitely made a lot of ppl on the fence about buying MP10

but definitely MP1 feels like THE masterpiece, being so heavy and all haha

Having seen them both in person I like MP10 a lot more.

Mp10 is one of my favorite figures, the diaclone-ness of having spike only increases it imo. The transformation, poseability, and overall fit and finish really sell it. in comparison, mp-10 feels like music label Soundwave and mp-04 like titanium Soundwave, both look nice, but you can actually pose one of them without it taking a nosedive

Re: Thoughts on Comparing MP01 vs MP10 convoy?

mp10 definitely has more play-ability.. esp with the trailer and spike figure haha.. for what it's worth though, it definitely does not stand out among other masterpiece imo

mp01 looks really big and blocky.. but it does give it a "vintage" g1 optimus prime look without the modern feel to it.. definitely not as posable nad playable as mp10

I agree, at first your like " what for $, this is what I get" but until you actually start playing with it, you realize it's a great figure to have, it grows on you

Re: Thoughts on Comparing MP01 vs MP10 convoy?

I can't imagine life without either of these.

MP-10 is simply magnificent...for it's time, MP-01 was the best. It's still great, but simply put, MP-10 is a better design for reasons cited by Brricy...and as the MP line evolves to be smaller, MP-01/2/4 and Megs (MP-05) will become less relevant and more nostalgic.

Re: Thoughts on Comparing MP01 vs MP10 convoy?

I do not have MP-01, but I do have MP-10 and I can say it is pretty awesome! I do have some beefs with it though:
1) not all the fingers move independently
2) the ... not sure what they are called, the lights at the top of the cab are simply red plastic instead of being cromed up and nice like they should look.
3) doesn't come with a mini megatron that fits in his hand (a gimmick I liked from pictures of MP-01... or was that from the first MP starscream?) in fact it lacks several gimmicks the MP-01 had I think, does anybody have a list of the different gimmicks?

I think repro labels had some sweet sticker upgrades for the trailer and optimus as well
