Welcome to real life.

As can everyone else - if you don't want relevant feedback you shouldn't start a thread. Especially when you contradict yourself ...

What happend to the guy who stated, and I quote:
"Please, I am upperclass so money is no issue for me"
to ....
"I wish I could and I'm jealous of those that can afford them"
Yes, 3rd party transformers are pricey, some people pay those prices. I would love to collect all the great combiners out there, but can't justify the cost. So i'm happy with what I can collect and enjoy and don't spend my time crying about what I can't have

That's GMfan, alienate these folks... That goes for most peeps here too.
To the OP, yeah, 3P = Botcon trademark lifeblood these days. Makes sense when you try to question shit here now huh?

Did you end up selling Hercules? I remember seeing him in your sales thread. It makes sense to sell him off to get MPs.

The guy has point and the same shit keeps repeating itself.
You of all people should know. Tired of it? Well dude, there will always be new people here.
Just don't alienate them.
Just be thankful that there's no more bumblebee again threads...

I for one will pay 80-100$ for something awesome instead of paying 15$ for something I think is garbage (at least lately, Hasbro I'm looking in your direction).

Completely agree with you; I'd rather pay a decent amount and get something that's worth collecting. These days there's a lot of cheap crap floating around and it's nice to have the option to buy pieces that are reasonable in terms of price and have great detail and quality.

"Relevant"... I think the thread sparked dialogue don't you? So I don't see how your observation was relevant as it added nothing to the dislogue except negativity that I should have not reciprocated. But I call bull shit when I see it. Forums are to initiate dialogue. As a moderator I thought your job was to censor or mediate posts that are against the rules. I didn't realize editorializing was in the moderators purview. As for your colleague that feels a moderator is entitled to some kind of courtesy then you are mistaken. Respect is earned not given. I think absolute power here is absolutely corrupting.
In summary, let the people decide what they want to talk about. Your place is not to dictate what threads should or should not be started and/or maintained. Respectfully, pgianos.

On topic, this. I buy quite a bit of 3P stuff. I've picked up most of the combiners as well as other figures and a few add-on kits. On the other hand, I've almost completely stopped buying Hasbro TFs. The only ''official'' bots I bought in the last year were MPs. For me, the money that I save by not buying Beast Hunters, Prime, Generations and everything else that I find so-so (and that I'll end up purging eventually) allows me to save up and pay for most of the 3P stuff that I really enjoy. But, to each his own.

Re: Cost of third party toys keeps rising
back to the topic, I think both third parties and Hasbro's price are up. Some are because of the cost, some are because of greedy, maybe saw the easy money from other 3rd parties' success story. For example the new Bullsfire Air Strike (so called unlicensed Masterpiece Swoop), how dare it charge for $200 for a V size, simple transformation toy?
