Need some advice on toy selection

Hi all,

So, I have over the years, built a nice collection that includes a lot of the Masterpiece toys and third party Masterpiece alikes that have been released. In looking over the collection I realized I now have all the 1984 Autobots and Decepticons in Masterpiece form, through a combination of official and third party, except two.

I still don't have a good stand in for Cliffjumper or Windcharger. I'd like to fill these gaps but I can't think of much to fill them with. Do any of my fellow Cybertronians have suggestions for third party masterpiece toys that can fill these gaps?

I'm pretty sure for the Cliffjumper your only choices would be between MMC/OC or X-Transbots and for Windcharger the only one that comes to mind is an X-Transbots release

Are the Xtransbots versions any good? I know they look good but has Xtransbots improved their quality recently?

Not really. ACE also released these not long ago.

Also from what I read, it seems the MMC Cliffjumper inheres the same MMC OX line issues --- poor quality control. There is no guarantee which copy will be good, which might be bad.

Yeah I left that one out intentionally as I wouldn't consider it a contender

^ agreed ^ ace toy feels like what third party used to be yeara ago. very flimsy and cheap. xtarns wi dxharger has great presence but can be had to transform. their cliffjumper design is just like hubcap whixh i found to be much easiwr to transform and has a good pose on the shelf.

Re: Need some advice on toy selection

Note that XTB Windcharger has a "toon" version and a regular version, one has silver legs, the other white, one has a grey-ish chest the other teal-ish so you may want to decide which you prefer.

IIRC he may be harder to find tho, as he came out a while ago. Not sure if a reissue is coming can anyone confirm?

The three versions of Cliffjumper (ACE, MMC and XTB) are in good supply tho.
