Yep.

Like those hard plastic security locks they use to secure kids toys to cardboard packaging to deter theft.
I have more issue with those.
Or the giant oversized dense plastic sheet clamshells for memory cards.

Just bring back Consumers Distributing.
Then they can do away with the unnecessary plastic stuff.

Re: Amazon.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

They said in that somewhat recent Q&A that they started using windowless boxes because it helps sell toys to younger kids. That's why not all of the lines have started using them. The environmental reason is just a PR excuse. This is just more "personal responsibility" climate change solutions pushed by big corporations to make people think it's individuals' faults and not the fault of corporations who contribute to the vast majority of pollution in the world.

That?s not what they said. They said it was for environmental reasons. They tested closed cardboard boxes and open cardboard boxes and the kids liked the open ones better.

They're going with closed boxes to hide all the QA deficiencies THEY NEVER INTEND TO FIX.

I can see how that testing goes:

Hasbro exec:
"So kids, which toy that your parents can't afford any more/anyways, do you like the box best, that the collectors will race at the dawn of day to grab and you'll probably never or rarely see in stores anyways."

Kids
"I like the open one because I like to see what I could dream of having one day when I'm an adult and can spend on the toys I never had as a child... that is if I can get a job that pays enough by then."

So Ijust checked and my Leadfoot sets claims it’ll arrive on the 12th… I have my doubts as well but it would be HILARIOUS if we got them before anybody else in the world.

That honestly would be WILD, especially after all the cancellations dot ca has experienced for desirable preorders.

Re: Amazon.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

Got shipping notification for Laser Prime, Skids, Kickback and Dragstrip today. Hopefully they actually follow through, I cancelled my GameStop order because I don't want to end up having to return a second set.
